Mii Fit!!!

After a long wait (of almost a month), we bought the Wii Fit(Nintendo's latest creation) on Monday. We brought it home, hooked it up and got started. The first step was to weigh in and give my details (height, age) for the gadget to measure my BMI* and stuff. This is kind of an initiation into the process of getting fit :-)

After that, it made me do some balance tests and measured my Center of Balance (COB) which was not in the center (LOL). We then moved on to the training, where I even got to choose a personal trainer who now does the exercises with me. The Wii Fit offers 4 types of exercises- Yoga, Aerobics, Strength Training and Balance.

I started with Yoga, which was very interesting and slightly difficult. After doing four yoga poses (more poses unlock as you proceed), I moved on to the aerobics session. This was way too cool, it had a Hula Hoop session (for exercising your hips), basic steps and slow running. By the time I finished these, I was sweating and wanted to stop. But the excitement of exploring Fit made me go on to the Balance games. This section was super fun too. It included Skiing, Ski Jumping, Tight Rope Walking and a few other games (tight rope walking is my current favorite). By the time I finished all this, I had already worked out for 34 minutes; believe me, it didn't feel like it. I didn't have the energy to try out the strength training stuff.

Yesterday, as soon as I got home from work, I decided to switch on the Wii. As soon as the system turned on, it welcomed me and said 'You are working out everyday, I am Impressed', which motivated me to exercise more. My earlier session had given me enough credits to unlock newer and tougher exercises in all areas, and I got through most of it pretty well...(still didn't try out the strength ones). I worked out for 38 minutes and was sweating profusely by the end of it. It felt real good. I took a nice warm shower and felt absolutely fantastic after it all.

Just imagine, it took a Wii to make Mii** work out!!!
