A Slightly Late Weekend Update!!!

Though it is a little late to write about last weekend, here is what happened. We went for a Malayalam movie on Friday night, yes night..we went for the 10.30 show and got home at 1.30 or so. I consider that a wonderful start to a lovely weekend.

On Saturday, I was up at around 9.45 and was lazing around with a cup o'joe. After a while, my husband wakes up and even before he is out of bed he says, 'get ready.. lets go shopping. The sale at JC Penny is till 1 PM, lets go.' I was so surprised by all this enthusiasm from him that I didn't want to miss the chance :-). I quickly took a shower and was ready by 11. We drove to the nearest JCP and split up to explore our own favourite departments.

I sometimes forget my cell phone while going out, but never when on a shopping spree (these stores are so big that we usually have to call to find out where the other person is).

I found a cute top, a nice formal gray pant and he found a couple t-shirts. We then headed to the shoe department (my all-time favourite place) and ended up buying 2 pairs, one of which is a really cool pair of boots. They may not be as sexy as the pointy toed stilettos, but these are uber comfortable (trust me).


We then went to Steve & Barry's and then headed home, after finding some really cool deals. Oh! did I tell you how much the boots cost... they were on sale for $40...that's a steal right???

Well, after this wonderful start to our weekend, we spent the remaining time lazing at home, watching some movies and generally chilling out. Overall, it was an ideal weekend.
