My New Job -II

It's been two weeks since I started and it's been super fun till now. Even though the days seem really long, the nature of the work makes up for it(and also the general office atmosphere). I work a crazy shift of Sunday - Thursday and last week was my first working Sunday. It felt weird to be sitting in office when my husband was at home. Luckily, he had offered to drop and pick me up so I got to spend a little time with him...he was so bored that he spent his time cleaning the closet and the living room...which I appreciated a lot..as I didn't have to do it anymore :-)

Last Saturday we had to get a few vaccinations (part of the GC* processing). We went to the doctor and got poked thrice :-(..then we had to get poked again to give blood samples for testing. Just when we were leaving, the nurse came to us and said that I had to get another shot, which they did not have. The whole of Sunday, my husband tried to get me an appointment with my OBGYN for the vaccination,but we couldn't get through. And finally, when I did on Monday, she was booked all the way till Dec 31st. I was super nervous as we had to submit a report for that by Wednesday. A friend of mine suggested a clinic where I could get it done, so I took a day off on Wednesday, got the shot and went to the previous doctor to collect the reports. Luckily, both of us had good reports, no problems anywhere...

On Sunday night, my husband said that he would drop me the next day. I opposed the idea for a while, as he would have to get up early too, which was quite unnecessary for his regular timings and also because it would mean a long drive for him...but he insisted and I gave in soon and ended up enjoying being driven to work the whole week :-).

On Thursday we received an email from our manager saying we needn't work on Sunday as there wouldn't be enough orders to QA. So hurraaaaaaaaaaayyyy..I got a long weekend..3 long days..well, 2 more to go now...
