Last Friday, my husband and I decided to get some take out for dinner so we headed to a restaurant at around 8.30PM. As we entered the parking lot we saw this police car parked on the main road. As we were parking, this guy backed up all the way and entered the parking lot. We walked into the restaurant and saw the cop park just behind our car (perpendicularly); blocking our path. I got real worried and my obvious nervousness spread to my husband too.
We ordered our food(to go) and noticed that the cop's car was still parked behind ours (lights on), and was soon joined by another car. This spooked me out a little more. It's not like we had done anything wrong but it was just this weird mixture of fear and respect for the SJPD!!! And guess what, we found a table and decided to eat there itself :-). After a while we mustered up some courage and decided to head out and face the consequences.
We walked towards our car and saw two police men standing on the side, SMOKING!!! I got into the car and my husband waved to the cops and requested them to move their car. One of them came towards the car got in and left, and the other guy followed. Imagine our relief...when we realized that the only reason they were parked there was to smoke...It was a little past 9.30 by the time we got home. To think that all we had to do was to come out and ask them to move their car...I was laughing all the way home!!!
On Saturday, we watched The Pink Panther 2, came home and couldn't find the TV remote. We searched everywhere, the living room, the bedroom and even the kitchen..but the remote remained missing. We were totally puzzled and kept looking under the sofas, below the cushions(with my husband providing the Pink Panther music for extra effect)...and still no remote control. Finally, we gave up and decided to look a little later. I sat down on one of the sofas and pulled my knitting project towards me and lo and behold..the remote was lying hidden under a couple balls of wool and and half a throw*!!!
Overall, we had an 'action packed' weekend. Looking back, I just want to laugh out loud at our adventures :-D
