My Husband's Dhidir Vadai!!!

Yesterday afternoon, after lunch, my mother-in law, husband and I were watching a cookery show on TV. The recipe being shown was that for 'Dhidir Vadai' (simple translation - Quick Vada) which did not need much work. My husband, who is interested in cooking but does not do much about it got really interested and asked, "Do we have all the ingredients for this?" I nodded in affirmation and he continued, "I'll make it in the evening."

My mom-in-law and I were amused by his enthusiasm..and to be honest we did not think that he would actually make it. Anyway, he came back from work, changed and came to the kitchen..all set to make the vadas. After a wait of about 30 minutes, the vadas were ready...and we were more than ready to devour them.
