Something happened yesterday...something I had been dreading for the past month. I got my first (and hopefully last) reprint...Let me explain...I am part of the QA* team of a greeting card company, and it means that we give the final approval for a card, before it goes to print. In the early afternoon, yesterday, I got an email from my manager asking me to look through a particular order again, as it had come back as a re-print.
I looked at it and realized what I had missed. The customer had asked for a small change in the text; the change was carried out but the exclamation point after the line had been left out. I should have caught it, but I didn't.
I was angry and upset for a while, but my friend consoled me saying it was OK...everyone gets a reprint sometime...By evening I was fine, even though the terror had become more severe now...of getting that dreadful email from the boss...
So, to all the people out there who QA...WATCH OUT FOR THOSE UNPRETENTIOUS LITTLE EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!!!!!!

Ugh, I know how you feel about dreading those emails. Ever since my reprint I open Outlook with a little bit of fear every day! Honestly though it has happened to a lot of people. Even the core team gets reprints at times. I know, I know, it doesn't really make us feel any better though. All we can do is try to catch all of those pesky little mistakes... and hope and pray for the best when we open our email! Lol
