A few days ago, my husband and I decided to go out for a walk, late in the evening. We had just stepped out and locked the door when we realized that we had forgotten to take our keys. The only way to go back in was to jump into the balcony and open the glass door. My husband, reluctantly, prepared to jump over the balcony wall. To top it all off, it had been raining that evening and had left the path to the balcony and the walls wet and muddy.
He finally jumped over, with utmost ease I must say, and entered the house...luckily that door wasn't locked, else we would have had to call a locksmith!
Now, to a more recent adventure. A few hours ago, we decided to go out for a walk, a small round inside our complex. As we stepped out, we wondered, "why not walk up to the nearby Subway and grab a sandwich each for dinner?" The idea appealed to both of us and so we stepped out of our complex and reached Subway after a 20 minute walk. We ordered our sandwiches and as they were being made, my darling husband tells me "I don't have my wallet!" And I go, "What!!!" He decided to walk back and bring his wallet, and the car of course, while I sat there waiting for him. I told the lady at the counter not to ring us up and that my husband had gone to get his wallet. I sat there, watching a few customers come and go...one of the ladies working there was taking her break and eating dinner...talking non-stop on the phone..in Spanish...
I did not have my phone with me, so I sat there, not knowing how long I had been sitting there, and not able to call and find out if my hubby had reached home. After 20 long minutes of waiting, he was back. We paid for our sandwiches and drove back home..having a nice laugh..well I was laughing while my husband was tired from the brisk walk he had taken!!!
Lessons Learned - Before leaving home, always check to see if both of us have our wallets and at least one of us has the house keys.
lesson no 3. plz lock ur doors well inuf before u go somewhere.
ReplyDeleteyes my dear!
ReplyDeleteI had a similar experience yesterday. I went out cycling thinking I was carrying a 5 rupee coin I had just received as change from the store, to which I went sometime before. I after some power cycling I found an Ice cream seller, and after asking him about the rates of an orange stick, ordered one. That's when I realized that I had left the coin in the shorts that I had worn before. Calmly told the guy my situation and had a chat about my cycle before I continued cycling.
ReplyDeleteoh that is sad..oru orange stick miss aayi alle :-)
