Moving away from our hometown

We have lived in the Bay Area for almost 6 years now...I call it our hometown :-). Even though we have changed three apartments, we have never moved out of a 5 mile radius...so when my husband got a job 390 miles away, we were in a big fix. The offer was good, but the thought of leaving San Jose was sad.
We finally made the decision and started the relocation process. Packing was a major hassle, with long days and even longer nights. We finished our part and a team of professional movers took over. They took all the major luggage and we were left in an empty apartment with just a few suitcases and kitchen stuff to carry with us.
Our final night in San Jose was spent having dinner with some very close friends, sad good byes and trying to catch some sleep before the long drive. We left San Jose at around 1.45 PM and reached our hotel in Orange County at 8.45 PM. The drive was smooth except for a little traffic near Los Angeles.

Our luggage arrived the next afternoon and it was while driving to the storage facility that I realized that we had come to a very beautiful place. Surrounded by hills and lined with palm trees, the cities in orange County are a site to see.
I am yet to take photographs here, so please wait patiently. Till then, enjoy the snaps I took during our drive here.
