Two Wonderful Long Weekends!!!

I haven't had to work on the past two Sundays and so I enjoyed two long weekends. For the first one, we spent most of the time out. Surprisingly, both of us were up pretty early on Saturday morning. It was really wet outside with all the rain, and the house was super gloomy. So we decided to go to the farmer's market. We had a lovely time walking by the various stalls, taking in the fragrance of the flowers and herbs, and getting wet in the light drizzle.

We bought some fruits and a bunch a fresh basil(which smelled heavenly) and walked on to the last stall on the street, the one that sells fresh corn on the cob. We bought one and shared (it was quite big)after of course dressing it with lemon juice, hot sauce and salt. From there we headed to an Indian grocery/video rental store, picked up some movies and headed home. We had lunch, watched a movie and the day as over soon. Sunday was quite uneventful and soon it was the dreaded Monday Morning....

The week went by very fast and it was the weekend again...On Friday evening we went to a cousin's place to spend the night. They live in this huge, palatial house on the hills...which gives it a complete effect of living in a resort. And the weather added to the effect, with clouds hovering over the hills and the cold breeze. I did one good thing when we were there...I fell in love....with Scrabble :-). Even though I lost to my husband twice, I am totally in love with the game.

At around 7.30, we left 'the weekend resort' and went to a friend's place for dinner. The food was delicious, so obviously I ate a lot and almost fell asleep on their couch :-). We got home at 2 AM. I was up by 8 (don't know how), made myself a cup o joe and decided to call home. I was on the phone with my parents for almost an hour.

He was up by 10 and we were wondering what to do. We decided to go out for lunch and so we headed out to this new Indian restaurant. We bought lunch, some groceries and vegetables, and got home. We enjoyed our lunch and watched a movie till late evening. And eventually, the second long weekend was over too...
